Sacraments

The seven sacraments - Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Communion (Eucharist), Confession, Marriage, Holy Orders, and the Anointing of the Sick - are the life of the Catholic Church. Each sacrament is an outward sign of an inward grace. When we participate in them worthily, each provides us with graces - with the life of God in our soul. In worship, we give to God that which we owe Him; in the sacraments, He gives us the graces necessary to live a truly human life.

First Sacraments and Confirmation are celebrated as a parish and directed by the Faith Formation Department.  Preparation is done through the weekly Faith Formation classes for children enrolled in the Faith Formation program, and as part of the classroom curriculum for the children enrolled in our school.  There are several required joint meetings that will bring all the children and families, both in the Faith Formation Program and those enrolled in Saint John School, together as members of Saint John's Church for final preparation.
