Liturgy Committee/Environment

The Liturgy Committee is a team of parishioners with varying expertise and skills who help to implement the Church's plan for worship. The ultimate goal for members of the Liturgy Committee is to ensure that the assembly is led to "full, conscious and active pariticipation in the liturgy." (CSL 14) Members must have a love for the liturgy, a willingness to study official liturgical documents, and an understanding of, and love for, the people of Saint John's.

The Art and Environment Committee is responsible for preparing the worship space for prayer using banners, flowers, candles and iconography (statues and paintings). Particular help is needed to prepare the environment at Christmas time and Easter. This is a one-time commitment. Specific dates are announced prior to each feast. Help is needed watering the flowers during these festive seasons. This is an 8-week commitment. Also needed: committee members to plan the seasonal environment.
