        Baptism

Baptism is the Sacrament of entry into the Life of Christ. In each newly Baptized Christian the Spirit of Christ is reborn into this world. In the name of our parish family we congratulate all who are parents of a new child.

Requirements for Baptism:                                                                                                             As the celebration of infant Baptism is dependent on the Faith of parents, parents are expected to be believers who practice their Faith and make the effort to live and grow in Christian life.

Parents must be registered in the parish.

With the first child, parents are required to participate in a Baptism Preparation Class. This hour and a half session is held on the first Wednesday of every other month, February through December.

Registration for Baptism may be arranged by calling the Parish Office,  484-2708, Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm (the Parish Office is closed on Fridays during the summer).

Marriage

Preparation and instruction must begin at least six months in advance of a suggested date.  Specific date will be set with the priest only when marriage readiness is indicated.

Mass Servers                                                                                         "I have called you by name, you are mine." -Isaiah 43:1

Saint John's of Little Canada invites 5th Graders to serve at daily Mass, and 6th, 7th and 8th Graders to serve at the weekend Masses. Duties include carrying the candles and cross to and from the altar, holding the book, help prepare the altar and assisting the priest during the Mass. It is a rewarding ministry to participate in our Liturgical Celebrations.

Adults are also invited to serve at Funerals and at the 7:30 am Sunday Masses. If interested in becoming an adult server, please contact Fr. Dave Kohner at 651-288-3265.
